Prayer is central to our faith life - it oils the hub of
all we do. Through prayer, quite simply, we talk with God and
listen for his guidance.
Prayer changes things ... ... especially us!
Every Sunday during our worship services we use the words
of the prayer given by Jesus to his disciples:
Our Father which art in heaven,
Hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come.
Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil:
For thine is the Kingdom, and the power,
and the glory, for ever. Amen.
When we pray
A group of us gather to pray on Wednesday
mornings at 10am in the Church Committee Room - you are
welcome to come along.
The Elders meet to pray together before
meetings of the Kirk Session.
We pray in various small groups which meet
in the church and in homes around our parish - for our world,
our country, our community - for our congregation, other
congregations - for other people and for ourselves.
Need prayer?
If you would like us to pray with / for you
- please contact the church office with your prayer request,
or speak with the minister or any of the welcome team on a
Sunday morning.
